Scott Johnson C.S.S.W./ L.A.C

Scott Johnson is currently employed as an Adult Protective Services Social Worker for the County of Riverside, California. His current practice involves helping disabled and/or elderly adults in southern California.

For seven years, Mr. Johnson worked for Child Protective Services where he worked with families whose children have been legally removed and placed in the custody of the state. In this capacity he uses the law and social work practice to intervene and protect children who have been abused, while delivering a broad range of services to families who suffer from addiction, abuse, poverty, mental illness, and many other problems.

Scott Johnson is also a Licensed Addiction Counselor and maintains a private practice in which he conducts individual and group therapy, consults on an international basis, and provides educational presentations.

For nine years, Mr. Johnson worked at the Betty Ford Center and was their first, full time, Children's Addiction Counselor. He has presented hundreds of seminars and lectures throughout the United States and Japan. He has devoted the past 26 years of his life to the service of children and families who suffer from addiction and abuse.
