    Sandra M. Jackson, MFT, Certified Executive Coach

Ms. Jackson received her BS in Clinical Psychology and Masters in Counseling from San Diego State University in 1974 and 1976 respectively. She became a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist in 1983 and a Certified Executive Coach in 2008.

Ms. Jackson began working in the social services field in 1975 where she worked for California Youth Authority, preparing psychological and social assessments of juvenile offenders for juvenile court. In 1979 she joined Riverside County’s Child Protective Services Division where she worked nearly a decade as a social worker in several units, specifically: court dependency, adoptions, counseling services, emergency response, and court officer responsibilities.

In 1987 she joined the Staff Development Division as a Staff Development Officer developing and implementing the GAIN-Employment Services training program; and training supervisors and management programs. In 1990 she became the Staff Development Division Manager responsible for department wide training and development programs that included Children’s Services, GAIN, Temporary Assistance, Adult Services, Administration, supervisor, manager, executive development and succession planning.

In 2002 Ms. Jackson returned to the Children Services Division as a Deputy Director over Centralized programs. This assignment included executive oversight responsibilities for: specialized caseloads, group homes, out of home placement, contracts, foster parent and ILP programs. In 2003, she returned to the Staff Development Division as a manager over Self Sufficiency programs.

Ms. Jackson was one of the first trainers with the PCWTA where she trained all levels of staff: social workers, supervisor and managers. She has trained courses for the PCWTA, Central Training Academy and Bay Area Academies in: the “Impact of Abuse on Children”, Supervisor Core, Organizational Communication, Change Management, Positive Confrontation, Politics of Being a Manager, Putting It All Together-Interview preparation and career planning.

Ms. Jackson’s expertise in leadership, succession planning and development programs for staff has led to consulting projects in this area for the PCWTA, Riverside County DPSS, the Office on Aging, and several community agencies.

In addition to her extensive experience in the public sector, Ms. Jackson has also been an adjunct professor at Riverside Community College where she teaches psychology courses in Life Span Development and General Psychology.

She has been a keynote speaker, as well as frequent presenter at conferences related to social services, psychology and leadership issues. She has been featured on a local Los Angeles radio program, and in several videos related to the both the GAIN Employment and Children Services programs for Riverside County.

In 2007 Ms. Jackson launched her training, coaching and consulting business, LifeSecrets. The business specializes in consulting and training in a variety of social services, human resource and life development programs targeting government and business sectors.
