Melinda Hohman is a Professor at
the School of Social Work, at San Diego State University, where
she has taught since 1995.
Dr. Hohman coordinates the Undergraduate program where she teaches
Practice and Research. She also teaches a substance abuse elective
in the graduate program. Prior to joining SDSU, she worked for 15
years in adolescent substance abuse treatment and for juvenile probation.
Dr. Hohman's areas of research interests include women and substance
abuse treatment, and cross-disciple work with child welfare. She
is a certified Motivational Interviewing trainer, having participated
in the Training for Trainers in Albuquerque, NM in 1999.
