Marci Siegel, MSW, LCSW, BCD
|
Marci W. Siegel, MSW, LCSW, BCD is a faculty member of the
San Diego State University, School of Social Work, where she has
taught for over 14 years. Currently, she teaches graduate practice
courses, field practicum labs, and is the Coordinator of Field Education
for the graduate and undergraduate programs. Ms. Siegel is responsible
for 300 student internships, consulting with 280 agencies and professionals
providing field instruction in the San Diego and Imperial Valley
counties.
Ms. Siegel has provided over 34 years of field instruction and supervision
experience to various professional disciplines. Her career includes
providing individual, family and group psychotherapy, clinical and
administrative consultation, legal and ethical consultation, teaching,
training, and supervision in mental health clinics, Children's Hospital,
private practice, and child protection agencies.

In addition, she has presented for the University of Southern California
(USC) School of Social Work, the National Association of Social
Workers (NASW), California State University Schools of Social Work,
Los Angeles Department of Mental Health and Health Services, the
Los Angeles Unified School District, the California Public Child
Welfare Training Academy (PCWTA), Kaiser Permanente, Sharp Health
Care, Imperial County Behavioral Health Services, and several other
social service and health care organizations.
Ms. Siegel consults and provides training statewide and nationally
in the areas of laws and ethics, supervision, clinical and ethical
practice, psychopathology, and DSM IV. Also, she has worked with
the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) for twenty-six
years, serving as a subject matter expertise panel member, oral
commissioner for the LCSW examinations, and SDSU School of Social
Work liaison.
