PP, LTFC and Adoption program (about 3000 children). She implemented
the Concurrent Planning in that Department. This led to her being
a consultant to the State Department of Social Services to develop,
implement and train concurrent planning throughout the State of
California.
After this four year project ended, Laura returned to Sacramento County, working for the Director of the Department of Health and Human Services staffing a high level policy board. In October, 2002, she returned to a management position in the Division of Mental Health where she ran CalWORKs mental health services, subacute care ,and budgeting.
In February 2005, Laura became the Department of Health and Human Services' first Health Informatics Officer. She guides the Department's development of computer systems for health services.
