    Lateefah Wielenga, APA, PhD

I currently wear more than one hat, as I am with a non-profit, Little Goddess, and am the primary facilitator of our program, Her Voice. Our agency was created for the empowerment of disenfranchised adolescent girls. Our focus is self-worth, pregnancy prevention and education. Her Voice helps to guide the girls on a journey to self, enabling them to say no to negative peer-pressure, unwanted, unprotected sex and to say yes to themselves, education and a positive future.

I have also spent many years as a Life Coach working primarily with women and girls. This work includes assisting with life skills, women's issues, communication challenges and weight management.

As a professional speaker and trainer, previously in association with Professional Growth Facilitator of San Clemente, CA, I continue to train for UC Davis, instruct on a contractual basis for The Academy for Professional Excellence: Health and Human Services, and am currently the primary instructor for the LA Consortium. From 2001 through 2003, I taught psychology part-time at Trade Technical College, in Los Angeles.

Degrees:

BA Broadcast journalism
MA Clinical psychology
Ph.D. Depth psychology
Diplomat for American Psychotherapy Association
