Diana Herweck, PsyD, MFT
 |
Dr. Herweck is a licensed Marriage
and Family Therapist. Her past experience includes county mental
health with court dependent children, as well as work as a therapist
at Phoenix House, a residential drug rehab, and the California School
for the Deaf.
She has nearly ten years of experience with CPS. She has worked
emergency response and on call cases. She completed roughly 1000
forensic interviews of children and adults with developmental disabilities.
She also had the opportunity to be a supervisor in the Voluntary
Family Services Program and in the Relative Assessment Unit.

She left County work in 2006 to pursue work as an EC 730 child
custody evaluator. Currently, she is writing and editing, teaching,
and working as a Field Experience Supervisor for the University
of Phoenix. She has taught for the Academy since 2000. She teaches
several core classes, including Crisis Intervention and Investigation
Skills, Interviewing and CWS, and Risk and Safety Assessment, among
others. She also teaches a couple of advanced courses- Interviewing
Young Children and Working with the Deaf.
