Crystal Shackleford, MSW

Ms. Shackleford attended the University of California at Riverside and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in the cooperative major of Sociology and Law & Society in 1993. She attended California State University, San Bernardino and earned her MSW in 1997.

Ms. Shackleford has been with Riverside County Children's Services for 10 years. She worked in the Court Dependency Unit conducting juvenile court investigations and providing case management for 4 years. She then became a forensic interviewer for the Department, conducting over 400 forensic interviews of children who were victims or witnesses of physical and/or sexual abuse. For

the past 5 years, Ms. Shackleford has supervised and developed the Professional Intern Unit, which is a unit comprised of MSW level interns carrying family maintenance and family reunification cases.

Ms. Shackleford was also a group facilitator for men in Parents United, a group treatment program for perpetrators of intrafamilial molest. She currently teaches at San Bernardino Valley College's Human Services Department and Loma Linda University's Department of Social Work.

Ms. Shackleford has past experience in medical social work, crisis intervention, multi-disciplinary team work, rape crisis, job development with learning disabled youth, and an after-school gang violence prevention program.
