During her career with the County of San Diego, she progressed
through the ranks from Social Worker to a variety of Management
and Executive Management positions including serving as Operations
Manager for eight Social Service District Offices. While with the
Health and Human Services Agency, Connie provided groundbreaking
leadership within the community collaborative arena, serving as
a leader in the internationally recognized New Beginnings initiative
and Director of the Office of Community Initiatives.
Connie also founded and served as the Director of the INSTITUTE
FOR COLLABORATIVE PARTNERSHIPS, a nonprofit organization dedicated
to developing and enhancing the use of collaboration and partnerships
as a strategy for effecting change.
Connie has also worked with many County Child Welfare organizations
in California as a consultant, researcher and trainer. Currently
she is working with various counties to implement a federal mandated
Peer Quality Case Review process aimed at improving the child welfare
and probation systems through learning about effective case practice
from those working within the system.
