Ms. Torre-Bueno attended San Diego State University and received her Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies. In 1985, she earned her Master's Degree in Social Work with an emphasis in Health.

Ms. Torre-Bueno has maintained a full-time psychotherapy private practice since 1986. She is also a consultant and a trainer. She previously worked as Director of Counseling for Planned Parenthood, as a social worker in spinal cord and head injury at Sharp Rehab, and is the author of Peace After Abortion: a self-help book for women and men. Ms. Torre-Bueno has been providing training in the community for the last sixteen years.

For fun, Ms. Torre-Bueno throws pottery and reads things by Charles Darwin :-)
