TRAINER OF THE QUARTER
Joanne Munro received her BS in Psychology from CSU Long Beach, CA in
1986 and her MS in Counseling from CSU Fullerton, CA in 1990. She has
been licensed as an MFT since 1995. In 2006, she completed her doctoral
degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and is completing her licensure
hours as a clinical psychologist.
Ms. Munro is the administrative manager at Training and Career Development
for Orange County where she supervises instructors in the delivery of
trainings for Children and Family Services (CFS), Family Self Sufficiency
and Adult Services staff. She was previously a supervisor in the Continuing
Services Program, the Clinical Supervisor for six years, and also supervised
at Orangewood Children’s Home.
Joanne started her social work career in Los Angeles in 1989. She moved
to Orange County CFS in 1991 and has worked in the Child Sexual Abuse
Program, Family Reunification, Team Decision Making, Investigations and
Integrated Continuing Services.
She was a faculty member at the University of Phoenix where she taught
courses in Chemical Dependency in the workplace, Adult Development, Cultural
Diversity and Interpersonal Communication. She also taught Graduate Counseling
at CSUF (Fullerton). Joanne has taught CORE classes for PCWTA as well
as advanced courses on engaging resistant clients and motivating involuntary
clients to change.
