Norma E. Elizalde is originally from Tijuana, Baja California and graduated from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara (UAG) with a Batchelor’s degree as a Dental Surgeon. She has worked for SDSU Research Foundation for 7 years, two with the Hijos Sanos Project as a Research Asst. III and five in Por la Vida- Familias Saludables as a Community Team Coordinator for the East County.

Norma began working for the Academy for Professional Excellence on December 4, 2006 and is Program Assistant for three programs: Leaders in Action (LIA), Southern Area Consortium of Human Services (SACHS), and Project Master. Norma’s main duties are in the planning, implementations, logistics for training sessions, coordinating scheduling and registrations, for those three programs.

Norma’s family is composed by her wonderful husband and 19 year old son Roberto Aka Chico now a sophomore at UCLA. She is a member of a Book Club and enjoys social gatherings, dancing, reading, traveling and watching TV especially movies and comedies.
