Liz Quinnett brings over 20 years of experience in Child Welfare Services to the Academy. She was a social worker, supervisor and manager in San Diego County with varied passions along the way. She was an early Ombudsman, when San Diego was the first agency with an Ombudsman in California. She developed the Family Unity Meeting program (known as FGDM or FGC elsewhere) and she subsequently trained on this model throughout southern California, Massachusetts and even Thailand! She worked extensively with foster parents who awarded her Administrator of the Year for her efforts. She trained and contracted with the Academy before joining full time in 2004. She is currently the Program Coordinator of the Public Child Welfare Training Academy, a division of the Academy for Professional Excellence. In her free time she putters, reads, travels and continues to train her malty-poo, Jack! |
