Deborah Fitch comes to PCWTA after working for the County of San Diego, Health and Human Services 26 years, 9 months. In her 24 years with Children Services she worked as both a social worker and supervisor in nearly all of the various programs including a 4 year stint working as a program assistant to the Central Region Principal Budget Analyst. One of her proudest accomplishments is helping to start and coordinate the Family-to-Family program in Central Region (HHSA) and getting the Central Region foster parent support group started.
Deborah is active with the San Diego Association of Black Social Workers; she is a member of the Spring Valley Revitalization Committee and a member of the San Diego People of Color Quilt Guild. She has been a member of Bayview Baptist Church since 1986.
Deborah is married to Al Davis, a retired social worker and is the mother of 2 adult daughters and has 2 grandchildren. In her spare time she writes, reads way too many mysteries but also enjoys science fiction, is an avid movie buff, quilts, gardens, and is currently working on a film project with her grandchildren.
