Debbie A. DeMarais has served as a training Coordinator/Consultant as a contractor for San Diego County's Health and Human Services for over 14 years. Her responsibilities were coordinating Mental Health trainings ranging in complexity from single session classes to multi-session classes and conferences. She lead the CME & Mental Health Education committees which helped keep training up to date with the staff's needs. She also was on several curriculum development committees thought out her service with the County, the latest being "Frontline Leadership Development Program" which helped staff promote within the county once they graduated from the program. Debbie worked at the Douglas Young Clinic Mental Health Services, Community Research Foundation for 4 years as an Office Manager and supervised clerical staff and interns, she has worked with consumers and is familiar in that area.

Debbie has a BS in Business and Mass Communications.

Debbie A. DeMarais is the assistant program coordinator for the Behavioral Health Education & Training Academy (BHETA). BHETA provides training to the behavioral health system in San Diego County. Training modalities include both online and in-classroom trainings.
